August 17, Fri. - SWBAT reveal their ability and willingness to engage in ELA curriculum. SWBAT understand Ms. Sanders' expectations and policies.
On the same sheet of paper as the JOY activity, write a few paragraphs analyzing their ability and comfort level for speaking, writing, listening, and reading. Students will reflect on their ability and willingness to engage in these domains. Students will select one domain they like the best or that comes most easily for them. Explain in a short paragraph. Then in another paragraph select a domain that they enjoy the least or find most difficult and explain in a short paragraph. Due at the end of class.
Review course syllabus. Contract must be signed and turned in by Aug. 23.
Go over IR assignment for the year.
Fill out Reading Survey. Due at the end of class.
If done early look through my library for book selections.
